Some of us goddesses just don’t want to wear a lot of makeup. Some of us have days where we need to get out the door quick. If you just want the bare minimum of mineral makeup, what should you use? Here is a quick and easy list of what you need to either get started in mineral makeup, or for those days that you just need to do a quick swirl, tap, and go!

6 Easy Steps (using products that contain all the good and none of the questionable ingredients, of course!)

1. Mineral Foundation to provide sunscreen and polish (can be used as concealer too), don’t forget your decollete. (You know you can try before you buy, hit me for samples)

2.  Bronzer or Blush

3. Mascara or Eye Liner, depending on your eyes and what you feel you need to enhance the most ( I NEED mascara).

4. Lip Gloss or Lip Stick

5. Kabuki Brush

6.  Bronzer or Blush Brush

That is it! Do you have other suggestions for a down and dirty quick makeup routine? What do you do on those days when the alarm did not go off on time? (No applying makeup while you are driving, puleese!) Leave a comment below. I loooove comments!

Thanks for sharing the simple stuff Lisa.

I’d even leave the blush out on a rush day :-)

Sometimes it is the little details that get lost, wink.

Yes, even blush can be left out. Good point Michelle. We all get to know our individual quick and dirty makeup tricks. For example, I could go out with out lipstick, but I like to add brows & mascara, even if I dont wear any other makeup.

Do we need bronzer? Being fair I’ve always wondered if it would make me look orange on a winter’s day. And is it either/or blush and bronzer or both?

  • Lisa

Alison, you should give bronzer a try. I think a touch of the right shade of bronzer can really make your skin glow. On a get-out-of-the-house-quick day, I think one or the other will suffice. However, on most days, I recomend both. If you want a sample of bronzer for fair skin “Natural Glow” would be perfect. I am happy to supply you!

Great tips, Lisa! On those days when either my alarm fails or I simply don’t want to get out of bed…I just do these quick makeup steps: Mineral powder, a quick sweep of eye shadow, mascara, and blush…that’s it!!

By the way, I am going to do a blog post about the makeup samples you sent me soon. Look for it!! :-)

    Robin,
It seems we all have just slightly different needs when it comes to getting out the door fast. It is good to hear all the variations.

I am looking forward to hearing your review!

Robin just gave me an idea. Thank you Robin :-) I’ll do a review of the products I bought too. Duh, you’d think I would have thought of that right?

I’m doing one week of no makeup. OK sort of. I absolutely can’t go out without putting on eyeliner without feeling naked (and looking too too ;-) I also keep on my lip gloss.

As a matter of fact Lisa, I’m wearing the Mocha Razzle lip gloss today :-) I absolutely love this gloss because it doesn’t have that waxy artificial taste that other glosses have.

Michelle I can not wait to see your review of the minerals you purchased!

I am so glad you love the lip gloss. The ingredients are very pure and they are handcrafted with care. They feel luscious, don’t they?
