The Stuff Life Is Made Of; A Year In Review
As is the tradition this time of year, I would like to join in and give thanks for what has been, and look forward to what will be.
Although this is my second year in business, I consider it my first complete year in blogging and web-siting (I need a word, is there a word for that?)
So much has been accomplished, so much has been learned, my life made so very much richer for it all.
So, What Did Go On at Style Essentials?
I added my very own brand of organic lip balms to my inventory, after I found a recipe I loved. I am confident you will love it as well.
I made my first ‘vlog’, or video blog, and it was a hit! And so much fun to do.
I spent a great amount of time learning what blogging is, and is not. I truly enjoy the way it allows me to reach out, and share my love of the healthy and the beautiful.
I made many lovely new friends locally via my local events and became closer to others due to our common interest in blogging.
But what truly surprised me is that I made so many new friends via twitter and facebook! How rewarding! I really did not believe this could happen, and used to scoff those that said as much.
On a personal note, all these new relationships are truly meaningful to me, but as with gain there is loss. I lost both my mom and step father this year. I am spending time processing that fact, and searching for peace around it but that is a post for another time.
Life brings us sadness and gladness, which makes us who we are. And, as my sister tells it, the last several years were rather like ‘Mr Toad’s Wild Ride’ with my parents.
Well, the ride is over. I miss them. I love them. I honor them.
But boy, do I have stories to tell.
And so much yet to do!

My New Baby
A brand spanking new SHOPPING CART. I have had nothing but trouble with my current one. Sheesh. I am going to spend the big bucks and get all the bells and whistles, which will be so much fun to play with. I want to offer you great discounts, easy free shipping, two-fers, gift certificates, etc! But really, I will be happy when it just plain works!
More Vlogs
I have had several requests for more video tutorials, which I plan on making. My next one will feature a mother and daughter team as our models, in order to reach different demographics. For every tutorial blog post I have written, I will shoot a video tutorial. Be watching.
New Products
There will be more skin care products, new mineral makeup KITS, and the new STYLE Minerals cheek colors will be launched.
EBook
In the works is an ebook that I am co-creating with charming health advocate Dori Friederg which will explore the link between health and beauty.
